1. Connect with one of our solar experts

When you contact Solar Pros, one of our experts will guide you through the process of solar panel installation. We will start by discussing your needs and expectations. This typically involves a review of your utility bills and a visit to your home to determine how many panels we recommend installing to meet your energy needs. At this point, we can answer any questions you may have and we will continue to guide you throughout the process.

2. SITE AUDIT

When you contact Solar Pros, one of our experts will guide you through the process of solar panel installation. We will start by discussing your needs and expectations. This typically involves a review of your utility bills and a visit to your home to determine how many panels we recommend installing to meet your energy needs. At this point, we can answer any questions you may have and we will continue to guide you throughout the process.

3. SYSTEM DESIGN

The next step is the design phase. We are currently hard at work designing a system that is completely custom to your home and energy needs. You will receive a portal update that includes your proposed design and where you can review your solar system. When the design has been completed, we will work behind the scenes to obtain the necessary permits to build it. Then it’s time to schedule your installation.

4. INSTALLATION

Now that the plans have been approved and permits have been acquired, we’re now ready to install your brand new solar system. It usually only takes us a day or two to install so we’ll be out of your hair in no time. We will make sure to call you beforehand to go over any important information. Please take note of any access requirements during this call for your installation. We will show up, build your system, and then notify the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to come inspect your new system. Once your system has been inspected, it’s just a matter of waiting on approval to turn it on.

5. INSPECTION

Now that your system is built, we have notified the AHJ to come inspect it. Once scheduled, one of our Technicians and an inspector from your city, county, or township will come out to review your project. After determining that your system is up to code, your inspection will be marked as complete and we will report this to your utility company. You’re almost there!

6. PERMISSION TO
OPERATE

Granting your system Permission to Operate (PTO) is the last step in the process. Don’t worry, we’re still with you! We’ve submitted all the proper forms and now we will work with your utility company to grant PTO. Once the utility company approves and grants PTO, we will notify you via email or a quick phone call. Then we walk you through the proper steps to have your system turned on. Once your system is energized, you’re now generating your own power through solar energy!

7. COMPLETION

Congratulations! Your system is now operational and you’ve officially gone solar. You should expect your new energy bill shortly. Since your system was installed by Solar Pros, you are also covered by a 25-year Production Guarantee. If your system ever produces less power than promised from our fault, Solar Pros can fix your system and can even reimburse you for any lost energy cost. This compensation will be calculated based on your production guarantee. That way, you’re protected from the unexpected.
